Academics

The DOC office is charged with the supervision of all academic programs in the school. The doc’s office comes up with academic programs in consultation with the office of the principal and the office of the deputy principal. This begins at the formulation, implementation.

The school offers a broad curriculum comprising of 15 subjects. In addition to the traditional subjects Mathematics, compulsory languages, sciences and humanities agriculture and business studies we offer the following:

Art and Design
Computer studies
Building Construction
French
This gives learners a wide range of subject choice that considers Learner interest and ability. The careers department is always engaged in guiding the students as from form one as they select subjects of their choice at form two. This department is focused on individual learners with the intention of identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each learner in order to get the best out of each of the learners.

The programs the learners are engaged in include continuous assessment tests that are administered on daily basis in addition to mid-term and end term exams. Teachers are involved in the preparation, administration to the analysis of results. The results form the basis of our discussion with parents on academic clinic days that focuses on guiding individual learner for improvement. On this we thank all our parents for the support they have given us to enable implementation of the program. From this the strengths are realized and used by careers department to give career guidance as a continuous activity.
